Orthodontic Treatment for Adults
You’ve got a busy life with lots of competing demands, but it's never too late to do something nice for YOU! A beautiful smile with a comfortable bite is not a bad place to start. Some of Dr. Swan’s favorite cases have been adults who make the decision to change their smile and walk away so glad they did!
When you come in for your complimentary consultation, we will walk you through a complete oral examination and we’ll take a 3-Dimensional scan of your head and teeth. We’ll analyze your tooth shape, smile display, and all esthetic aspects of your lips and mouth. This is done to show you how your smile would benefit from braces. We’ll then discuss any functional issues we think could be improved with orthodontic treatment.
Adult Treatment Options
INVISALIGN
Invisalign treatment includes a series of plastic clear aligners that move your teeth through small, incremental movements. You’ll wear a set of them then get new ones every 2 weeks or so until eventually, your teeth are straight and beautiful. Many adults LOVE this option as you can remove them to eat or for special speaking/social events.
CONVENTIONAL BRACES
Normal metal braces work great for nearly everyone. These include custom brackets and wires for each patient. This type of treatment is very helpful if very specific movements are needed for the best result. They are also great when rubber-bands are needed for bite correction.
CLEAR BRACES
Clear braces have all the advantages of normal braces with the added luxury of them being radiolucent and clear. Transparent brackets look beautiful and work using normal wires, etc. just like normal braces.
LINGUAL BRACES
Braces that are bonded to the tongue-side of your teeth (another esthetic option to normal braces).
